The Developmental Baby Massage Centre was founded byPeter Walker, an internationally accredited and widely respected teacher of Developmental Baby Massage who has pioneered the practice of Developmental Baby Massage for babies and children from the 1980s onwards and has been working with mothers and babies for over 40 years.
The Developmental Baby Massage Centre works internationally. After over 40 years working across the UK and nearly 25 years in Japan, we now offer courses in Europe, Asia, and South America. As of 2021, the Developmental Massage Centre has over twenty thousand teachers in twenty-two different countries all now teaching Developmental Baby Massage.
Our certificated teacher training courses for Developmental Baby Massage are enjoyed by health visitors, nursery nurses, midwives, massage and many other therapists working with mothers and babies. These teacher training courses attract professionals from all around the world; where we support the parent-child relationship and the well-being of mothers and babies from conception to childhood. We teach massage and movement to mothers, fathers, partners and babies, with a focus on unique early intervention techniques for those babies with developmental delay or poor developmental prognosis.

This teacher training course includes high-quality learning aids including filmed case studies and slides, and resources given as well as a copy of our founder, Peter Walker’s, best-selling international book ‘Developmental Baby Massage’, plus updated course notes for all delegates and session notes for parents.
Upon successful completion of the course, all delegates will receive a certificate accredited byFEDANT.
